Swine flu!!! Alert alert.....

Came to work this morning and with the latest news being read out to us that we've now entered the Yellow zone for the Swine Influenza... and as medical professionals, we've got to wear the N95 masks at all clinical area...

It was really painful wearing it. It was so difficult to breathe and so uncomfortable. Now, all we can hope for is that we do not enter the Red zone.. Because that means no visitors and furthermore, for us healthcare professionals, we got to wear the full PPE... All the protective gowns..masks...gloves that you all see on TV during the SARS period.....

Finally! i got my internet. Been so bored without it.

And yes, here am i sitting in front of my computer at my new house! Officially moved into the east on Saturday... and officially now at Eastie. But my heart's still a westie.......

Anyway... finding work kinda difficult to handle recently? Its been really tough. Over this issue of my ankle. really a huge dispute and a lot of unhappiness. I ate the biggest humble pie and i'm very full already. Any pride i had even were all tore down by the ward Sisters. I feel so suffocating. but yet i know i have to bear with it all...

I know that no matter how unhappy i am, the day still goes on. So.. i might as well, do the best i can out of it? Oh wells. i shall talk more about it again. Now got to sleep. On morning shift tmr......

A day for a girl who had her day off.

A very happy Val was very much looking forward to her off days on Thurs and Fri. Thinking that she could stay home and finally get her room cleared out since the family was moving to the east officially this Saturday. But who knows!

She went to the Staff Clinic yesterday cause her "Big Sister" wanted her to get an Ortho referral for her poor ankle that had a sprained... *long story* But anyways.. She did! And lo and behold! She managed to get an appointment at the SOC for today! Her off day! and its at 9.30am! Goodness me! what's worse? She actually had to reach at 8.30am to get a letter from the Staff Clinic that the Doctor forgot to give her yesterday.

A very tired Val went to sleep, very smartly forgetting to set her alarm clock.. and she woke at 9.30am!!!!!!! First reaction? Attempted to jump out of the bed and went *ouchhhhhhh* As fast as she could, she got ready, called the clinic to inform them that she would be late, and called for a cab and was on her way.

Reached the Staff Clinic at 1030am (which was the time she told the SOC she'll reach). waited for almost 20min just for 1 damn letter.. and made her way quickly to the SOC. Waited and waited.. and finally at 12plus... she finally got to see the ortho doc, who gladly saw her ankle, and said "Let's take a look at your xrays" and val went.."Erm.. no xrays done?" and the doc went..."HUH! ok, so you go take an xray first... *loooks at the clock* and come back after 2pm" Val looks at the clock and it was 1230pm! What the!!!!

So Val left the clinic grumbling.. went to get her xray done where she had some unfriendly scans.. where her foot was tilted her and there... Then met Mr Mok for lunch. and then back to the SOC to wait to see the Ortho Doc again...

Then received a call from her mum saying that her aunt got admitted in SGH! Great! So after seeing the ortho doc, Val made her way to visit her aunt.. then went to meet Adriel for tea, and then visited poor Aunty Nancy who's apparently going for op again tmr. Val then left, went to buy some kueh at Bangawan for her Aunt, and officially left SGH at 6.15pm!!!!!!!!!! So much for having a day off? In the end still spent in entire day at SGH.

It shows how much people judge you just based on physical appearance.. how people put you down and despises you.

it's almost 4am in the monring and i'm not done with my reports yet!! oh no... I'm on night shift again.. I should call it Holy Night Shift.

Started night shift on Thurs. Didn't managed to go for Maundy Thursday Mass. On night shift with uncle Gerard, Stef and Cindy for the first night.. Mynt mynt for my next 2 nights...

Ended work on Friday morning, went home to shower, change and then off to church for the 11am Good Friday Mass. Everything ended at 1pm. Came home, slept at 1.30, got up at 3.30pm. Got ready and met Christina. Christina's leaving for Germany... :( So one last farewell dinner with her before she leaves. It was raining like dinosours and elephants ( as how Chris describes it) which i agree! It was pouring like mad! She was such a dear that she came all the way to pick me up from home.

The journey back to the east was terrible! Vision was so bad! we were going at like 60km/hr. Met Alicia and Yixian at The Central, where we had Waraku for dinner. Mok was suppose to join us, but i think he was too tired. After all the laughs and good food, ended our night with Hokkaido ice cream. Yums!

After that Chris gave me a lift back to SGH for work.. then we parted. Gave her a huge big hug. Gonna miss her! Hope time flies fast... :( Anyway, survived by 2nd night... and now i'm into my 3rd night...... This year didnt make it for Easter Vigil mass. Feels weird. feel so far from everyone. Lonely is the word i guess. oh wells.

Everyone's trying to survive at work... I made sandwiches for all. (: Made with love ok! hahaha... I'm getting a bit cranky already.. you see me smiling sillyly.... Gerard's talking nonsense.... Mynt is folding bips to keep awake.. Stef seems normal. haha!

Anyway, after work tmr, then mass then home to sleep.... Going back to work on monday again.. no off.... working for 3 days then i'm off for 2 days. Going to start moving on Thurs.... How fast time flies...... Bye westies.. hello eastie....

Off days were really great! Spent some self time and very relaxing time too. (:

Met up with Rach yesterday where we walked through the entire Orchard down to almost City Hall. And it was just photo taking all the way.. ((:
